REFURBISHMENT OF STICKER SKATE RAMP
OVERVIEW
We were approached by St. Mewan Parish Council to refurbish the skate ramp at Sticker Activity Park.
THE PROCESS
The process we underwent lasted a total of 101 hours. Upon arrival at the site, the first task on our to-do list was to install temporary Heras fencing around the skate ramp area to prevent access by anyone other than our workforce. After this, we proceeded to dismantle the skate ramp, removing the top hardboard, which was set aside for reattachment after completion of the work, and the sheets of plywood, which were beyond repair due to rotting.
An electric grinder with a wire circular wheel was used to remove excess rust on the metal frame.

We applied rust converter, red oxide paint, and rustoleum combi paint.

New plywood was attached to the frame and the original surface board was re-attached to the top. To finish off, the underside of the side ramp was painted yellow to provide a contrast to the red.
