We were approached by Falmouth Town Council to carry out various repairs and maintenance at their playground in Kimberly Park. Work included replacing rotten timber and loose posts on the equipment built for all ages, from toddlers to teens.

A bit of history

Kimberly Park in Falmouth pre-dates 1877 and is named after the Earl of Kimberly, who leased the park to the Borough of Falmouth to serve the local community.

The park is renowned for its diverse, mature trees, some of which are admired by staff from Kew Gardens. It consistently contributes to Falmouth’s successes in the Britain in Bloom competitions

The Falmouth Town Council encourages the donation of trees by local organisations to the tree planting programme to help protect the heritage of Falmouth.

The playground in Kimberly Park was originally installed in 2013, funded by the Heritage Lottery.
